Figuring out this electric meter??

I am attempting to install some meters so each building here can see the eletric use. Everything leads back to the original meter installed by the electric company.

I got some used meters (though they are supposed to be working).
I hooked the two hot wires to the box with the nuetral wire connecting in the middle (just passing through because of the clamps).

I have not yet grounded the box.
It is a Sangamo J5S meter CL200 (240v 3w) 60hz.

My problem it doesn't seem to read correctly and I am wondering if it is something I am doing wrong.

It is reading that in one day I used 151kw which is impossible. If that were true then my bill would come out to over $200 a month which it doesn't.

Can someone direct me to a site that shows specs on this meter. I don't see a multiplier on the face plate.

Thanks
Mike

A Sangamo J5S meter, unless it is some oddball, doesn't have a multiplier. If you have the socket wired with each leg coming in at the top, it should meter accurately.

What prompts you to think it is in error? Did the utility meter read 151 kwh in the same day as well?
