adding wall outlet
I want to add a new plug in wall outlet. The only nearby source of power is an exisiting wall outlet that is in the midddle of a circuit run. Can this be done and how do I connect it?

Physically this can be done. Whether it can be done according to code is a different story. What room is the existing receptacle in? What room will the new receptacle be in?
The fact that you have a receptacle close doesn't mean much if you have to run wire up into the attic or down into the basement to go between the two.
The bigger question is, what is this new receptacle for, and what is on this circuit that you want to tap? You have to decide if the circuit can handle the additional load.
