Switch to dimmer wiring help

Have light switched at 3 locations. Want to use a 3 way dimmer and don't mind killing off one of the switches if I need to or simply not use it. Obviously the wires don't match up. 2 red, 2 black, and grnd on switch. 1 black, 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 orange, grnd on dimmer. Thanks in advance for help.

They make 3-way dimmers, but not 4-way dimmers. You are apparently looking at the 4-way switch. Does the dimmer have to go here? The preferable solution is to put the dimmer at the site of one of the other two switches.

Tell us what the dimmer's instructions say about the meaning of those five wires from the dimmer. Or at least give us the make and model of the dimmer.

Thanks John, you are correct. I am looking at a 4 way switch and have identified a different location I believe might work. I'll let you know. Thank yoiu very much.
