Light switch wired to K&T Q

Need to replace a light switch,wires are Knob/Tube in Ungrounded metal box
Is the ungrounded metal box OK or should use a plastic box?

You can leave the metal box.

Around here I have run into switches and outlets in metal boxes where there isn't much distance betwen the terminal screws and the metal, and someone has wound a wrap or two of electrical tape around the terminal screws, I guess so that if someone pulls out the outlet that this reduces the risk of coming in contact with the metal. (And ever try to pack a fat GFCI into a metal box?)

Is this within code? Or, is it even recommended to do so, by chance? Or no, in case moisture gets in there and the moisture laden tape acts like a circuit bridge.
