can i share garage with hall way recept?

OK, i've got the 2005 NEC in front of me and I can't find any reference to a violation of shared circuits except for laundry and bath. (210.11C) I'm i missing something?

The NEC is not the easiest thing to read.

If you are asking if a garage receptacle can be shared with a hallway receptacle, the answer is yes.

But before you proceed, consider what you pl;an to use the receptacle for and what is already on the circuit. Remember that a garage receptacle needs to be GFCI protected. A hallway receptacle does not, but can be.
