Ufer Ground Wire size?

I am about to have my foundation poured on monday and I want to attach a grounding wire to the internal rebar. I understand this is a pretty good grounding system.

But what gauge wire do I use?

You need to use at least #4 copper. Another option is to have the foundation contractor bend a stub of the rebar out of the wall near the panel location. Then you can clamp the copper wire onto it later.
