Switched light

Can you have a source wire to the light fixture, send the wire to the switch and have the source continue through the light uninterrupted to pick up a different switch & light.

I hope I have explained this correctly

Thanks

Yes, you can have the feed go to the box for the light and then go off to feed other loads. The neutral and ground for the light connects to all of the other neutrals or grounds in the box. Run a switch leg cable from the switch to the box for the light. At the light, tape the white neutral wire with black tape and connect it to the black feeds. Connect the black wire of the switch leg to the black wire for the light. At the switch, wrap the white wire with black tape and connect it to one screw, then connect the black wire to the other screw (also connect that ground wire).
