220 Volt Dryer cable

The dryer I have is a bit dated. In my new apartment I need a new cord. The old cord had 3 wires and were not color coded. The new outlet has 4 plug-ins
The new Coleman 4 prog cord has a black outer cover and 4 lines color coded as follows:
Red
white
green
black

What goes where ??? on the back of the dryer.

Sail on

red -- brass screw
black -- other brass screw
white -- silver screw
green -- green screw or frame ground; this screw might be different from the other three, or there might even be a green jumper wire that you need to disconnect from it to the silver screw.

Smile Many Thanks

The info on the placement of the dryer cord individual cables was a great call.
Many thanks for the help. On my way to the dryer now.
