Home Elevator Sources?
We are remodeling our house. We are considering installing an elevator.
Any suggestions of the best and most cost effective elevators for home use?
Seems websites don't list the prices.

I can say I've done one house where they prepped an area for a "future" elevator. I doubt it will ever happen.
Sorry I can't be of any help.
Isn't your contractor any help?

Home Elevator
In Florida they seem to be common but where I live . . . not as common.
My contractor doesn't have a lot of experience. The quotes so far are about $18K for a 3 floor elevator for 2 people.

These folks manufacture elevators specifically for the home market.

I've ridden in a few of their units both here in Milwaukee and in Florida homes. It's build-to-suit, so you will need to contact a local contractor or the mfgr. directly for more info. There are too many options to get a reliable mass-market price.
You can also hire an elevator consultant to handle the job. If you're getting competitive bids, a consultant that you pay is worth the money, to make sure you're comparing apples to apples for your situation.
Regardless of who installs, you will need a service contractor for ongoing maintenance, and you should make sure you consider those costs as well as periodic load testing and inspection if required in your jurisdiction.
