any kind of power off alerts for outlets.

Is there any type of alert or such for a electric outlet.. Without having to check a freezer everyday is there anything that can let you know power is off to plug. I have a night light in the other plug so i can atleast see if the light is on or off. I was just wondering there was such.. thanks a bunch

If it's a duplex receptacle, just plug a night light into the unused portion.
On a brief check, I found switches with pilot lights, but not receptacles. I guess you could make your own, using a neon push in module mounted thru the recept cover.

That was the first hit I found. I am sure there are others, perhaps less expensive. I believe that I have also seen these kind of devices at the bog box stores as well.

I have one of those small emergency lights. It plugs into an outlet and illuminates when the elec power is off. Powered by a couple NiCad's.
But I replaced the lamp with a small buzzer.Think I paid about $6 for it.
Of course it doesn't have any 15 sec delay. But I only have 1 chick in my house!
