Question surge protector light flicker!

got a surge protector with a tv, two vcr's and a dvd player hooked into it

two indicator lights: a grounded light and a protected light

the grounded light is reeeally faint, flickers a bit sometimes

guessing that the problem will be solved by buying a new surge protector

if the new grounded light still flickers, does this mean a bad outlet??

well there are few thing you will have to do with this one ::

1 check the repectaile to make sure it is not loose. even not used not much or been plugged in for very long time they can become loose over the time.

2 get a 3 lamp tester to verify your grounding wire is good. alot of big box store will have this on stock i think about 3 to 8 buck depending where ya get it.

3 some surge strip indactior light can get weak over the time [ this is common with neon light espcally after 4 to 8 years later it will " burn out "

4 if have red light or proceted light still on that mean you are still protected but if red or protected light go off then you loose the protection most common curpit is power surge or near by lighting two most common thing it will do funny way with the system.

if more question feel free to ask us here

Merci , Marc
