Ceiling Fixture Wiring

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a bit of help. I currently have no overhead wiring in my co-op. I've decided to have an overhead put in each of the two bedrooms. Currently I have lamps on switch controlled outlets, a setup I loathe.

My question is this, what would be a fair range to expect in qoutes? The ceilings and walls are plaster. I'm sure there are lots of variables, but what would be a good ballpark. I'm in Long Island, NY.

Thanks in advance.

My guess... Is I don't have one. Depending on the age of the house and wether or not the attic is acessable, I would think between 1.5 & 2 hrs per rm. You should call a couple of electricians and get an idea of the going rates.

And now that you are changing/adding wires to these ckts they must come into current code.
So they will have to install AFCI brkrs to the ckt, These are roughly $26/$35 each, And then install time wich should be included in the above. + time picking up materials. Ball park 3-4 hours (+-) complete.
I hope this helps.
