is this right?

im runin new home run wire's to all of the juctions box's for the home in the attic i have one 12-2 for my light and aonther 12-2 for my outlets so now i ahve to run 12-3 right for my home runs. White wire would be nutrel black hot for outlets red hot for light, and copper for ground. Sorry for double post

What you are proposing is a multiwire circuit. You have it right, but you MUST get the black wire and the red wire on opposite sides of your incoming 240 volt service for this to be safe.

The easiest way to guarantee this is to use a 240 volt breaker, which is what I recommend.

ok

I do plan on putting a new breaker panel in. A 200amp with main 30 spaces 40 cuircuits.so that should be plenty room for any thing and for all the wires.
