garage door opener, amps?

How many amps would a 1/2 HP opener use?
A 3/4 HP opener?

I haven't bought one yet, but I am running the wires to the boxes for the receptacles that the openers will plug in to. I have a 16' and a 9' garage door. Each will have an opener. I need to know what size wire to run, and what size breakers to use.
Can they both be on the same dedicated circuit(running to both openers)? Would there be a problem if I needed to open both doors at the same time? Thanks!

Run a 20 amp circuit. You'll be fine for both.

FWIW, I have three 1/2 HP Genie openers on a single 20A circuit. All three doors can be in motion at the same time without tripping the breaker.

I note that such empirical evidence is far from a reliable test.
You could have 3 1HP openers running at the same time drawing 10A each and they wouldn't trip the breaker.
That would not prove that it was an acceptable installation.
Lots of things appear to work for years (and might work "forever" that way) even though they aren't proper.

So it is necessary to consider the loads in order to determine whether it really "works". Indeed, summing the amps drawn by your three openers is probably 9-12A perhaps up to 15 depending on the lights. That is the reason it is okay.
