Question outdoor wiring question

I am trying to add a GFI outlet to existing outdoor wiring. Opened the weatherproof splice box and saw 5 separate wires spliced. White, black, red green blue and orange. I expected to see only 3 ( white black, green). What gives??? Can I connect an outlet from this box?? Thanks, Buddy

Only if you know what all the wires go to. Funny thing about electricity. It doesn't care what color the insulation is. You have to know what the other end is attached to.

Yeah, I get that. Thanks. How could I begin to divine what these could be, or is it time to call my real lectrician?

What about the other end of the wires? What else is on the same circuit breaker, and what wire are connected there?
