Receptical in attic

Short and sweet: Do attic recepticals require GFCI protection?

Only if you have a jacuzzi in the attic.

I didn't think it should be required, but I was curious since other "unfinished space" seems to require it, so I wanted to check.

I just brought a new circuit through the attic into our sunroom, and I am thinking of putting a receptical up there so I won't have to drag a extension cord in if/when I'm working up there. I'd probably stick those plastic child outlet protectors in to keep bugs from taking up residence inside the slots.
