100 amp Panel
I have a 100 amp panel in my 65 year old home. Over the past year I had approximately 75% of the wiring replaced and will be changing over to 200 amp service. Recently with a washer and dryer , dehumidifier all running at the same time as well as some ceiling fans, lights, computer ect.the main 100 amp breaker has been tripping. 1. will the 200 amp service eliminate this problem. 2. also is that main breaker suppose to be warm. thanks in advance .

I'll bet this problem is not overload related as much as it is a bad connection at the main breaker stabs. This is very common and will cause the breaker to get very warm (hot) and trip.
If not, yes, a 200 amp upgrade will do the trick.

It is possible and it sounds as if it is probable.
Although I have had breakers that were worn out/defective etc. that get warm as well. You need to find somebody with an ammeter and take a reading to be sure.

How old is your main breaker? you also may want to check the balance of the loads. Too many ckts on one leg could pull this down and trip the breaker.
