Wiring from switch box to breaker box

Ok here is the deal. I have a 60amp switch box mounted on a telephone pole next to the garage. The switch box is coming directly of the service meter. I plan on running 1 1/2 inch conduit from the switch box to a 100amp circuit breaker box in the garage. Do I need to use solid copper wire even though it will be in conduit all the way? It is an 18 feet stretch from the pole to the garage. Or can I use Aluminum? What gage wire should I also conceder?

Thanks,
Jim D

Consider #4 copper, that way, in the future, the pole box could be upgraded to 100A. Anything above #10 is stranded.
