Question Refrigerator/freezer loud noise?

Just resently the motor in the feezer part of my refrigerator is starting to make a loud annoying noice. It has done this before a couple times usually before it freezes up. And does not cool very good or freeze foods. My matienence has been called several times before for this matter. All they do is defrost the freezer and motor and put the food back in it and go on. The matienence person usaully does not come til it locks up and will not cool or freeze very well (which happens after a couple days).

This time I noticed there is no ice around the where the motor is (that can be seen). I do relize it can be behind the wall where you not see it.

What is causing this to happen? There is no food or anything blocking the air flow or anything that usually tends to happen.

Anything I can do? Is this a serious problem that needs to be looked at by a refrigeratation specialist? Is the motor wearing out and needs to be replaced before too late?

You hit on my first guess the fan motor is not working correctly. Low air flow over the coil will cause unit to freeze up.

Sounds like a defrost timer to me.
