male plug is hot on my dehumidifer

why is this,what can i do?

I will really go out on a limb with this asssumption since practically no information was given. I assume this male plug is part of the internal wiring of the humidifier in which case this is OK.

yes it is part of the dehumidfier but this is ok to be hot?

Hot.
That's an indication of a bad connection or dirty contacts.
Best to replace the plug and receptacle and clean the wires before connecting them to the new parts.

OK I assumed wrong, since you refered to male plug I assumed hot electrically, when disconnectted , this is going to be like pulling teeth isnt it? Dont expect meaningful answers unless you give meaningful questions.

I would start by replacing the receptical and see if it still gets hot. If so you may need to replace the plug.
