Please Help - 3-way switch using 14-3 with power through the switch

I am in need of some serious help with a 3-way switch problem. The problem is as follows, I have 14-2 coming into the first switch box from the panel with 14-3 comming out runnng through 3 lights and then back down to the second switch box. I have tried every confiruration that I can think of and nothing seems to work. I have looked at countless diagrams and none seem to match my prediciment. My problem is coumpounded by the fact that the lights are in a vaulted ceiling 34ft up so I really can;t stand the thought of re-wiring with 14-2 between the lights and 14-3 between the switches.

Can anyone help.

Regards,

No can do.

To go through all three lights requires 14-4 between the first light and the last light. You cannot wire it using only 14-3.

Sorry, you MUST rewire.

Either use 14-4 between the lights, or run 14-3 from the first switch to the second.

As another alternative, you add 14-2 between the lights, but you may have an issue with box fill, and this wiring may be difficult to understand.
