Question Plastic conduit-Stupid question!

Ok, I've never used this blue-plastic conduit before. I am only running it about 4 ft up my basement wall to stay in code. My question is-the fastener that holds it to the box...it is in one solid piece-how in the world does one side go inside the box, while the other is on the outside? Like I said-stupid question.

Yeah, you guys rock for replying with that nice PDF. However, I realized I bought the wrong connector! Corrected and installed! Carlon is great!
