2 lamp circuits = double pole switch??

I've got 2 undercabinets that I want to operate using 1 switch. They origionally were wired for power only and were turned on seperatly using unit mounted switches. I have since run 14/2 wire from each light to a central location. Will I need a double pole switch to safely operate this circuit or can I simply use a single pole switch with 2 pigtails??

A single pole switch will do.

What is the size of the breaker that feeds this circuit?

It's a 15a breaker. Not really sure where you're heading with this as I'm not adding any additional loads to the circuit. I am only reworking the circuit in order to turn both lights on with a single switch.

Yes.

I asked the breaker rating to make sure you had installed the right cable.

EDIT: My editted comments (by twelvepole, whom I've never even seen post here before) were not extraneous or offensive in any way. What's up with that? And now, with all the editting done in this thread, a very useful recommendation of a good DIY book has been deleted as well. Maybe the mods should just answer all the questions.

EDIT: It is unprofessional for a forum moderator to edit an industry professional's advice and not notify that person by private message.
