Intermitent light

I've got 3 recessed light in the kitchen and one goes on and off at irregular times. It's mostly off. I changed the bulb and it continues. The other two lights are fine. Any thoughts? Thanks

You have a loose connection, or the thermal overload is kicking in.

If the bulb is the proper size for the fixture, then look for a loose connection. It will be at this light, or it could be at the light feeding this one.

light/no light

I have found thermostatic cutouts in recessed cans to go bad. The light will go on/off as the fixture heats and cools.

Try and stick a low wattage bulb in the fixture, if it's the thermal overload, it should stop turning on and off (or at least much less often). If it still turns on and off the same amount, it's a loose connection. Turn off the power, dissassemble the light, and check for loose wire nuts and screw terminals.
