Another protecting wire in attic question

Ok, so I've already run my wires this way, but I just want to confirm. To make a long description short, there are no places where one could step on the Romex, mainly because I have it stapled to a 1" x 4"s which I screwed to the attic framing. So the Romex is not only above floor level in the attic, it runs across the walls.

There is one place however which is only two feet from the attic wall, where the Romex comes up from the panel into the attic, and it is only stapled to the top of a ceiling joist. There is no way to step or even crawl on it due to the rafters. We have an attic ladder for storage. I have passed rough inspection but does anyone see anything wrong here?

From a practicle standpoint NO.

From a code standpoint: Is it within 6 feet from the scuttle?

There's a permanent folding attic ladder just 3 or 4 feet away, so I will attach protective strips to be safe and code compliant. The strips just have to protect the wires from damage, right? I do not see how the wires could be damaged, I can barely get into the space above them to work.
