outlet placement, basement bar backsplash

I'm adding a small bar area against the wall in my basement. It's about 9 feet long, base cabinets on the bottom with a 9 ft counter top, wall cabinets above. No sink, but I will have a microwave and small undercounter fridge. I wired in 2 outlets in the backsplash area but wondered if the kitchen counter spacing applies and if I should add a third. The microwave and fridge each have their own outlets.

Even if the rules did not apply, I would think you would want at least one additional receptacle. Depending on the location of the existing two, one more would be all you would need. I wiould certainly add one.

As for one being absolutely required, I would say no, since this could not be easily called a kitchen.
