Small appliance GFCI question

Greetings again from N.H.

I'm installing new kitchen cabinets and counter top and sink. Does a larger sink dictate any new distance ( from the sink) requirements as to the location of the outlets (GFCI protected 20amp) between the upper and base cabinets?

Thanks,
Bob

There are maximum distances a receptacle can be from the sink (24") but no minimum distances, and no prohibition of being above the sink. It's not a good idea, just from a splash/nuissance trip perspective, but OK by code.

All kitchen counter top recepticles must be GFI protected. Distance from the sink no longer matters.
