I have had flickering lights not all the time but sometimes. I called electric company and they opened meter and tested the neutral running to the pole which was fine and then tested the wire running from meter on house that goes to breaker. He showed me that there was a problem there as i observed the high and low signals that is was recieving.HE told me it was my problem and that the circuitbreaker probably had a loose connection. What advice can you give me as to things to check in any specific order.

Call an electrician. This is NOT a do-it-yourself job.

Agreed! Maybe not tonight or tommorow, But CALL 1st thing monday.
I'll qualify this, How often are things flickering? Every few minutes, hours or days? If the first two... Sooner than later (read tonight). Goe easy on the electric demand untill someone checks it.
