What size are the screws used to install a duplex plug?

I am building out my basement. I had to put an extra sheet of sheet rock over some outlets. The screws that come with the plugs and switches are now too short.

I need them at least an inch long. What size screws (diameter & thread count) are commonly used with switches and plugs? The guy at a big box doesn't know.

TIA

Be sure to use box extenders, like Arlington BE1's, not simply longer screws.
