Question Outdoor Hot tub subpanel height code

I am installing a hot tub on an outside deck. The wiring instructions supplied bythe manufactur (Watkins Manufacturing -(Hot SpringPortable Spas) requires that the outdoor 50 amp 230 V subpanel/GFCI breaker be placed between 5 and 50 feet from the spa and within sight of the hot tub.

IS THERE A HEIGHT ABOVE THE DECK REQUIREMENT FOR THE PLACEMENT OF THE OUTDOOOR SUB PANEL?

It will be six feet away from the spa. I would prefer to keep it unobtrusive and low (8 inches between the sub panel bottom and the deck) . The panel itself is 13 inches H by 7 1/2 inches W by 4 1/2 inches D. This is an outdoor rated panel and will be located under an eave that projects 2 1/2 feet where snow or rain is not an issue.

(The final installation will be officially inspected and a permit has been pulled but it is Christmas eve (and they are unavailable) and I am trying to get as much of this done as I can this weekend.)

Many thanks and Merry Christmas?

There are no height restrictions that I know of. I know you can't have it over a certain height, like 6 ft I think, but I believe you can have it as low as you want as long as it's in easy reach.
