Question 2wire in, 2 and 3 wire out to bath cieling light fan, need to combine onto 1 switch?

I need to combine the seperate wires that operate a lighted exhaust fan. I have a 2 wire and 3 wire that operate the fan and light seperately. My wish is to operate the light and fan from one switch. It's okay that the light and fan run together. For the life of me, I can't seem to get the right combination to get it to work. Can you help?

How many wires in what cables do you have at the switch box?

It sounds like you are saying that you have a two wire feed to the light as well as a three wire feed to the light. Where does the feed from the panel come into the picture?
