Wink Comming to a state Near you.

From NH lic. board.

"Journeyman licensees and registered apprentices should be aware that in order to perform electrical installations for heat, light and power purposes they must be employed by a master electrician. You can not perform installations on your own. "

Make arrangments folks.

we have, effectively, something similar in Mi. We also have this nice little limitation to becoming a contractor licensed in Mi.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Qualifications for Electrical Contractor License
-Holds a master electrician's license or has not less than 1 master electrician residing in this state who is in his or her full-time employ. The master electrician shall be actively in charge of and responsible for code compliance of all installations of electrical wiring and equipment.

-Out-of-state corporations will not qualify for a contractor's license unless they employ a master electrician residing in the state of Michigan.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So what that means is that if an out of state contractor wants to do business in Mi, they have to obtain a Mi contractors license and they HAVE to employ at least one Mi resident (their master electrician).

Please note that this is a forum for do-it-yourselfers. There are many other forums on the web for electricians to discuss matters of concern to electricians.
