Electrical problems with refurbishment

Im in a panic as had some refurbishments done and for some reason there is not an earth problem and everything keeps tripping across all circuits. The electrical guy that the builders used is coming back to have a look at all the new light fittings, underfloor bathroom heating, new kitchen and new wall sockets that were installed but apparently the problem could be "anywhere" and I have been told that someone NIC qualified will have to check each individual socket and light to find where the problem is or what wires may have "crossed". My panic is that as the flat has just been refurbed, does this mean generally that all fixing of potential problems can be done via the wall sockets or light sockets or will the builders have to potentially start pulling down walls and looking behind etc? I really hope not..... any advice gratefully received!

It is most likley something simple. Just some minor mistake that apears to be a major problem.

Relax and let the tech do his/her job. Let us know how you make out.
