replacing dimmer switch with regular toggle switch

I would like to replace a defective dimmer light switch. Only this time I want to replace the bulbs with CFL and so the a dimmer is not needed. Does the dimmer switch utilize extra wires that won't be used in a toggle switch?

Thanks.

No. Just take the wires attached to the dimmer switch and attach them to the new switch.

Thank you!

BTW forgot to mention that this switch has 2 other dimmers beside it. The 3 dimmers collectively controls 6 lights. Do I need to change the other 2 as well? Yes, I have extra CFLs I can use if needed.

If you switch the bulbs to CFL, then you need to replace the dimmers with ordinary switches. Otherwise not.

Just because you replace one dimmer does not obligate you to replace others.
