Removable outdoor sump pump wiring

Anyone have any experience with these types of plugs & receptacles?

Looks like these maybe the answer to my question as to how to wire an outdoor sump pump so that it is removable in the wintertime.

Extension cords are NOT for permanent use. Wire a proper outdoor receptacle.

I'm aware of that. I'm not advocating an extension cord. I'm also not going to put in an exposed receptacle with a sump pump plug hanging out in the rain like you suggested in your reply to the other thread.

Again, does anyone have any experience with these submersible, disconnectable plug/receptacle pairs?

I don't have any experience with those connectors but I expect that they are pretty darn expensive.

Why not just use an in-use cover on the receptacle?
