electical conduit
I am placing the electrical conduit for my pool (3/4 inch shed. 40 with THHN) to the pump--18 inches deep----I must cross over or under a buried 3/4 poly natural gas line that goes to my gas barbeque and fire pit. Is this ok(codewise) to do, since there is no other way, and is it better to go over or under and do I need to separate any particular distance other than making sure they do rub against each other? Any info appreciated.
Thanks,
Poolman

First, make sure that your THHN is also rated THWN (most is). You need wire rated for wet locations to be buried in conduit, as the conduit will fill with water.
Second, make sure that you run an insulated ground wire and NOT a bare ground wire.
The depth of the gas line will answer your question. The pool line must be at least 18 inches deep. There is no prohibition against crossing a gas line that I know of. I would keep them separated by at least a few inches.
