Which wire is the ground wire?

I've been reading the instructions to install a dimmer switch and it's talking about a ground wire to connect the dimmer to. It describes the ground wire as being green, but it seems I have every color but green in my box. Can you help me identify which one is the ground wire?

Here's what I've found:

Black
Blue (both are used for the adjacent light switch)
Purple
Pink
Orange
White

They all seem to originate from one of three holes in the back of the chasis.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You don't have a ground wire. Connect the ground wire to the box, if the box is metal.

Awesome, thanks! I thought that was only common in really old buildings, and my building was built in 1997. Strange.

I once had a friend swear to me that there was no ground wire in a ceiling box. It was bare copper, stuffed in the back and coated with paint and texture.

The metal boxes and conduits serve as a legal ground instead of a green or bare wire. The rainbow of wire colors suggests that you are in a commercial or multi-story apartment building which probably has metal conduits.
