How high should I place a Sub Panel above ground

We are running a 50 amp service to a sub panel for a mobile home. We are using an outdoor above gorund sub panel. How high above ground should the panel be?

Ideally it should be about 5' off the ground. I don't think there is a minimum, but you want it at arms reach.

the highest breaker in the most upward position cannot be higher than 6' 6". Other than that, there isn;t really any requirement. Depending on the panel size I typically mount mine at 6' to the top of the panel.

That makes things pretty much eye level for the average person.

Generally I use 5 ft to center line but I have seen panels as low as 3ft off the ground for a handicapped fellow, but I am sure it was OK'ed with the AHJD before hand ....
