I will not use the spray foam because some of them can eat the insluation on the cables [ i did see it happend before ] but normally most sparkys used sorta of used like clay putty which the GB [ GarnderBender ] will have it in big box store not all of them will stock this item [ this putty is non drying type so it is the best to use this for this kind of appacation

Merci, Marc

dont get a funny idea with silcone caulk they are almost impossible to pull it out when the cables go bad i allready done few of them so far

DUCT SEAL- Trade term. This as stated remains plyable. STAY away from the spray foam.

LBs', you can buy a gasket for them.

Silicone is not a great idea as Marc says. Spray foam is an absolute NO, NO.
Look for a product called "Duct Seal". It is , as Marc suggests, a non drying ,non hardening grey colored putty, which will help prevent air or water penetration and can be easily removed if you ever need to change out the wires.
