bathroom light

bathroom light

I'm remodeling my bathroom and I'm hanging the light on the wall in front of the sink....Is there anything in the code that would prevent me from putting a oct. box 4 1/2in center down from the ceiling......also what is the standart height of the switch's in the old switch was 54 in ctr....thanks

You can place the box you want on the wall.

There is no standard height for switches. Match the rest of the house, or do what you feel appropriate.
