4 way ?

I'm wiring my basement which has 5 access points where I'd like to put light switches. I've searched for wiring diagrams but can only find diagrams which show 3 switches maximum by using 2 three way switches with a 4 way switch in the middle. How do I wire this for 5 switches, just keep adding 4 ways switches in the middle ?

Yes, just add one additional four-way switch for each additional location you want a switch.

Route the cables as follows----

At SW1,3-W , a 2-wire "Feed-In" cable , and a 3-wire "Feed-Out cable to SW2, 4-W

At SW2, 4-W, a 3-wire "Feed-In" cable from SW1,3-W , and a 3-wire "Feed-Out" cable to SW3,4-W

At SW3, 4-W, a 3-wire "Feed-In" cable from SW2,4-W, and a 3-wire "Feed-Out" cable to SW4, 4-W

At SW4,3-W, a 3-wire "Feed-In" cable from SW3,4-W, and a 3-wire "Feed-Out" cable to SW5, 4-W

At SW5,4-W, a 3-wire "Feed-In" cable from SW4,4-W, and a 3-wire "Feed-Out" cable to SW6, 3-W.

At SW6,3-W, a 3-wire "Feed-In" cable from SW5,4-W, and a 2-wire "Feed-Out" cable to the fixtures.

Thanks guys very helpful ! Based on above, I assume that the wire to fixture is always at one end and the line/power is at always at the other ?

No, that it is not always true. That is usually the easiest to understand and follow.

You can, just as easily have the switches as a switch loop. Or the light can be in the middle of the chain. Just like with two three way switches.
