Lights Flickering

The lights in my house have started flickering. All of the lights flicker about once or twice an hour, sometimes not that often. I can't tie it to any trend. As far as I can tell it isn't because of something cycling on. Only once has the flicker effected the TV, and it only went dim for a second. we did do some wiring recently but the flickering doesn't occur in conjunction with the new wiring. Everything in the breaker box seems to be fine, there is no heat or smoke anywhere, yet! Does anyone have any suggestions?

What was the new wiring? Maybe you disturbed something in the breaker box. I'd probably call the electric company (PoCo) and ask they check their connections and if the transformer is OK and large enough for the houses it supplies. Do the neighbors have this problem?

If OK on the PoCo side time to have an electrician check the connections on your side. The PoCo may even be able to tell you what needs fixing even if it isn't something they do.
