junction box near gas line junction...code issue?

I'm adding some new lights in the basement laundry room. Is there any prevailing code guidance on how close or not close a junction box (for a light) can be or not be to a gas line junction (90 degree bend) I'm about 6 inches now but didn't knwo if there was one of those code things that there could possibly be a gas leak and then some kind of spark from the junction box which would trigger and explosion, etc. etc.

Thanks for any input.

P.S. None of this is required to be inspected by the building department.

There is no code and this is done all the time, i.e. gas dryer, water heater, etc.
