Sub Panel Clearance

NEC 110.26 Width of working space

Does the 30" need to be equal in front of the panel? Situation: I have a space 36" wide with a stud right in the center of the 36" wide space. I would like to mount the panel to the right side of that stud which would give about 4" clearance to the right of the panel and the remainder of the 36" to the left.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Nope, your fine. Just need 30" min. starting from either side of the panel.
