rv outlet

I Need To Run A 30amp 120volt Circuit For my rv . The Recept. Will Be 85 Feet From Main Box. What Size Wire Do I Need.

It depends on what amperage you expect to pull and on how much voltage drop is acceptable to you.

12 amps and 1% drop

That will give you 2.1% voltage drop, which is good enough. It would not be reasonable to run the 6/2 you'd need if you really needed to keep the voltage drop to 1%, which you don't.

If you are really only pulling 12 amps then 10/2 as John suggested is fine. If you in any way are approaching the 30 amps (maximum) for the circuit then you might want to consider 8 gage wire.
