wire thermostat to basebaord heater

I purchased a 240 volt, 1000 watt baseboard heater, Fahrenheat model PFL1004 and corresponding thermostat Fahrenheat PT2DS (double pole thermostat) and need some help hooking up the wires correctly.

Thermostat has 5 wires 2-red, 2-black, 1-green, heater has 1-green wire, 1-red and 1-black wire.

Replacing an old base board heater, have 12g wire to double pole 20 amp breaker, 1-white, 1-black and one ground.

What is the proper way to connect the thermostat to the heater and to the electrical wires?

Thank you

Easy to do

The thermostats red wires are connect to the one black and white wire of the 240volt power source.

The thermostats black wires connect to the each of the wires that have wire nut on the baseboard heaters. The grounds are connected all together.

BE careful to check the wiring diagram with the stat. Some manufactures do not follow the same color codes mentioned above. I have even seen one black and one red for the line (from panel) and the same for the load (to the heater).
