Dimmer & Receptacle in a Single Gang Box

Do to some space constraints with a granite backsplash, I only have room for a single gang box and would like to install a single receptacle and a dimmer in this space.
Now I know a combo single receptacle & single wall switch are available but the switch is not a dimmer.
Does anybody make such a unit with an outlet and a dimmer?

(btw, the dimmer will not control the outlet.

Thanks for any help.

I think you are pushing this one.
Due to the size of dimmers, I don't think this animal exists.
At least I have never seen one in 25+ years.Let us know if you find one.

nope not this kind of combation what you are looking for the only way you can get the dimmer and repectale is go with two gang box because there is no dimmer can be made that compact at all.

Do to some space constraints with a granite backslash,
Do you mean there just isn't an existing hole? I'd suggest practicing on scrap granite or ceramic tile but you should be able to cut it using a series of 3/16" hole drilled with a masonry bit and a Drimmel tool. I'd use gang box not an old-work box because you need only a simple rectangle hole and thickness may be to great for an old-work box. You can use a Madison clip to hold it in.

I well realize the issue of "appearance" , but it's possible to fasten the "back-plate" of a 2-gang "Wiremold" box to the flush box.

"Depth" of the WM box = depth of the dimmer + inches for "clearance" between dimmer and back-plate
