RMC or IMC for 200A OSD?

Hi:

I will be putting in a new 200A OSD, since my old drop will have to disappear in the middle of the remodel.

I am wondering if I should use RMC for the mast or IMC. (I'm appalled at the price of either one!) I plan on having the usual 2 ft or so extending above the roof line.

I'm in northern CA.

Thanks.

Usually 2" IMC is okay; however the strength requirements of the mast are designated by the power company standard. You'll have to call your power company engineering department for the correct size.

The attachment point needs to be set such that the service drop is at least 10' high at all points, 12' over a residential driveway, or 18' over a public road.
