Suibpanel grounding

Hi again.

In my remodel, I am having to modify both my subpanels so that they have a separate grounds and neutrals.

In my smaller 100A subpanel, the ground wire is a tad short to reach where my ground bus bar will be.

Is it OK to use a lug to attach the ground wire to the metal panel box and have the ground bar a short distance away, obviously also attached to the metal box?

Thanks.

Ground wire for a 100A panel should be #8 copper, so you can just use a big wirenut to extend it. You could also use something like a crimp-on buttsplice connector to length the wire. You could also install an add-on ground bar where the wire will reach.
