wiring

What is the proper way to wire 2 lights operated by one switch.

Youer help is appreciated

wire power lead to switch box, wire from switch box to light, wire from light to light.

Welcome to the forums!If the switch is already in the sequence, then you will have a black and white wire plus ground in your first light. Continue this sequence to the next light, always black to black, white to white. If you need to add the switch, then all you will do with the cable coming in and going out is break the black wire and attach the two blacks to the terminals on the switch.

There are several ways to do it. Which you you do it depends on how you run the cable. All of them are correct.
